Organ-on-a-chip empowers a newly developed multidisciplinary field, in which human cell biology and microfluidics are merged on top of a lab-on-a-chip architecture. We offer a range of organ-on-a-chip products especially for researchers active in the field of advanced biomedical engineering, bioMEMS, microfabrication and micro-electronics. This range consists of resealable organ-on-a-chip devices that can be completed with single or multiple chip holders and pumps. The resealable organ-on-a-chip devices consist of a top and bottom layer completed by a membrane layer that is available in multiple varieties.
Video: This video is recorded by our partner Senza Optics11. It shows the flow of CD34 positive immune cells in an adapted Micronit organ-on-a-chip perfusion device and is imaged in real-time with the Senza lensless microscope.
Our dynamic microfluidic flow approach creates new and innovative ways to culture cells and tissues while offering precise and continuous control during the complete culturing process. This is in strong contrast with the more traditional static culturing methods, employing tissue culture inserts in petri-dishes and microplates. It holds the promise of having a significant impact on improving the predictability of drug screening models and Personalised Medicine.
Micronit is involved in various organ-on-a-chip research and customer projects and which have led to valuable partnerships. Combined with the knowledge of our multi-disciplinary team, these partnerships enable us to offer integrated solutions for our customer’s needs. Please contact us directly for more information.
