At the request of our customers, we offer customised flow cells to address their specific sequencing needs. Optical grade, high-quality glass flow cells enable a versatile platform for performing a broad variety of sequencing tests.
To meet our customers’ needs and requirements, we designed various functionalities for integration in consumables for next-generation sequencing. One can think of valves, electrodes and sensors. But the application of coatings or nanopatterning is also possible.
In the latter case, we have developed a flow cell with nanopatterned features integrated into its microfluidic channels. These nanosized wells enable the manufacturing of next-generation sequencing products with higher data density through patterned clustering of DNA fragments. This particular flow cell consists of an optical grade glass top layer and a silicon-based bottom layer. These layers are bonded through a patternable adhesive bonding process providing a solid seal with secured flow channels.
