The SAMOSS project (Sample In – Answer Out Optochemical Sensing Systems) is part of an initial training network in which  optochemical sensor systems are developed  that are capable of performing a chain of operations starting from autonomous sample processing to reporting the result. The compounds of interest include for example mycotoxins or antibiotics in foods, drugs in healthcare products and endocrine disruptors such as contraceptive hormones in environmental samples. Within the project Micronit will develop versatile microfluidic cell culturing platforms with optical readout to screen environmental samples.

More information about the project is available at: http://samoss.eu/
This project receives funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 607590.
