Prince2 based project management
Micronit implemented a project management tool that is based on the Prince2 project management methodology. This methodology encompasses the high level management, control and organization of a project. The microfluidic project management tool is based on seven principles (continued business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities, manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products and tailored to suit the project environment), seven themes (business case, organization, quality, plans, risk, change and progress) and seven processes. The principles and themes come into play in the multiple processes that are implemented in our project management tools.
Micronit project management
Micronit uses a project management tool that is based on several stages of a microfluidic product development project. Before a project starts the project must be defined. In most cases this project definition is an intensive dialog with our customers.
Micronit uses the following definitions to identity several stages of microfluidic product development: feasibility stage, proof of concept stage, prototyping stage, null series stage and production stage.
The project management tool allows the project managers to manage projects in a professional way at a high quality level. The tool can also be used for a medical product development project. The same project approach also enables a seamless transfer from feasibility stage to production stage. The project management procedures and methods are part of Micronit’s quality system that is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified.
