Enhanced Oil Recovery

"Glass structures to mimic flow in porous rock structures"
To increase oil recovery from petroleum reservoirs injection with CO2, natural gas, nitrogen or water soluble surfactants is successfully being applied.
However characterisation and prediction of the flow inside the sedimentary rock structures is difficult since parameters are hard to measuring and quantify.
Glass structures that mimic the porous rock allow full visualisation of the flow and real-time analyses. Custom designs can be made that match the porous structures required.
