Manufacturing Partner

Operator with microfluidic chip

Micronit is a dedicated manufacturing partner for equipment manufacturers in life sciences and chemistry. Focussing on the prototyping and subsequent volume manufacturing of microfluidic devices for the consumables market.

Our high-volume chip manufacturing services and in-house technologies make us the ideal outsourcing partner.

Thanks to our microfluidics know-how we can also support instrument manufacturers with their product development. Our experience in microfluidics and micromachining enables us to optimize the chip not only in functionality, but also in production cost. In this way, the product can provide you with the highest return on investment.

Most developments pass through a series of stages, from idea to high-volume manufacturing. For every stage we provide the required service.

Design for Manufacturing
IDEA
Our team of engineers is a mixed team of designers, physicists, chemists and biologists. This mixed background enables us to transform our customer's idea into a function lab-on-a-chip product.

DESIGN AND SIMULATION
After the idea has been discussed, Micronit will make a design of a device, sometimes preceded by a feasibility study. We have the tools and know-how to simulate your microfluidics process with the device we have in mind and to adapt the design if necessary.

RAPID PROTOTYPING
Micronit offers a platform for rapid engineering of prototypes for appropriate applications. Together with our customer, we will evaluate the device and if necessary we will do a redesign and restart the prototyping phase.

HIGH-VOLUME MANUFACTURING
When a functional prototype has been developed, Micronit can manufacture the device in high volumes. Our cleanroom facilities have the capacity to fabricate large batches of microfluidic chips.

Quality - Innovation - Volume
The synergy of Quality (process control, yield analysis, track & trace), Innovation (process and product R&D), and Volume (production facilities, reproducibility, supply chain management) is important to keep fulfilling the challenging needs of our customers. It is, for instance, necessary to have a controlled, documented process with known capabilities, before scaling up the production. Only by this synergy, fast and controlled growth is possible in a high-tech environment.
