Based on micronit’s chip technology Micronit and eDAQ developed a platform suitable for end column conductivity detection on an electrophoresis chip that can be used for all kinds of applications where different charged molecules in liquids are separated and detected. Applications are for example in detection of ions, peptides, proteins or DNA fragments or to generate electro-osmotic flow.
The Micronit C4D standardized microchip is off-the-shelf available. It has a 100µm thin bottom layer to realize a high detection limit often comparable to, or sometimes even better, than UV-visible absorption techniques. Micronit and eDAQ co-developed the compatible Micronit Chip Electrophoresis Platform.
Micro chip electrophoresis is a separation method performed by applying high voltage along a channel inside a microchip. It can be used with contactless conductivity for detection of virtually all charged species with the simply read out of the eDAQ platform.
The Quad HV Micro chip Electrophoresis Bundle (ER455) is offered with the Micronit contactless conductivity detection microchips. It is a complete system for microchip electrophoresis with floating, gated or pinched injections. Capillary electrophoresis is a widely used technique for a wide range of applications.
The ER455 Bundle includes:
- C4D Data System
- High Voltage Sequencer
- Chip Platform
- Microfluidic Chips
- Standard Test Solutions
- PowerChrom Software
Capacitively-Coupled Contactless Conductivity Detection (C4D) can be used for virtually all charged species: inorganic anions and cations, as well as organic ions, such as salts of carboxylic acids, amines, amino acids, peptides, proteins, DNA fragments, antibiotics and many other pharmaceutical compounds.
eDAQ is a company that specialized in simplifying data recording. eDAQ manufactures plug-and-play e-corder and PowerCrom data recording systems and fully software-controlled potentiostats and isopods.
